Arrival / Airport Transfer
You will be met on arrival by our company representative then driven to Kampala for check-in, dinner and overnight at the accommodation facility of your choice; Luxury: Speke Resort – Munyonyo /Kampala Serena Hotel / Lake Victoria Serena Hotel – Kigo or Mid-Range: Mestil Hotel – Nsambya /Latitude 0° – Makindye Hill. Briefing about your safari is also done today and final payments if any.
We shall then leave you to relax and prepare for the safari ahead.

Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo Valley NP (1hr 30 mins by Air)

The park is studded with rocky outcrops and small hills from which one can obtain stunning views and breath-taking savannah landscape which ends in rugged horizon.
After breakfast you will check out and we transfer you to Kampala and to the Airstrip for a local flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. Check in will be at Apoka Lodges (Luxury) or Adere Lodge (midrange), where you will relax until time for dinner.

Day 2: Full Day in Kidepo Valley NP

On this day we shall explore Kidepo Valley NP in a 4 x 4 safari vehicle. You will wake up early and grab a cup of tea/coffee then set off on an enchanting Ostrich drive around the Kanangorok hot springs; the great diversity of animals in this park and the alluring scenery is worthwhile. Kidepo boast strong wilderness atmosphere, rugged mountainous scenery and exceptional game viewing and bird watching; making it the most alluring destination in the country. After the game drive we shall return to the lodge for relaxation until time for lunch.

Afternoon: After lunch you will be taken on a guided Karamojong cultural village tour where you will get a unique, unforgettable experience and understanding of the Nomadic lifestyle around Karenga and Kidepo. The elders will show you the Kraals, grinding stone, local defence fences and cultural dances known as ‘Edonga’. During the tour of the Karamajong ‘manyattas’ (homesteads) you will see kraals belonging to local communities, traditional costumes, and can purchase souvenirs like stools, spears, headdress, knives, bows and arrows and jewellery.

This will be crown with a Sunset Game drive, on the way back to the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP (5-6hrs)

No trip to Uganda would be complete without a visit to the magnificent Murchison Falls National Park renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls, from which the park derives its name. Murchison Falls has abundant flora and fauna to delight the visitor. From rolling savannah and tall grasslands to thick bush and woodlands, the diversity of this park never ceases to amaze visitors and residents alike.

After breakfast you will check-out in readiness to be driven to Murchison Falls National Park, with interesting stops including Aruu Falls and lunch en route. You will arrive in the park in the afternoon and will check-in: Luxury Chobe Safari Lodge / Papas Camp / Nile Safari Lodge/ or Mid-range; Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge / Murchison River Lodge – where you will also relax and take the rest of the day at leisure while enjoying the lodge’s facilities.

Day 4: Murchison Falls Experience (Full Day)

Wake up early with a snack and set off on a Sunrise game drive (about 6.30am) in the Nyamsika plateau, while on the game drive, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, Uganda kob, hartebeest and waterbuck are commonly seen. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog and Bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas.

Chimpanzees and olive baboons head the list of six species of primates found in the park. Crocodilesand hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork and the rare shoebill stork. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for full breakfast and then relax until time for lunch.

After lunch at 2.00pm, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water bucks and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork.

The boat stops just tens of meters from the "Devil’s Cauldron". From here you will disembark andtake a hike to the top of the falls where your vehicle will be waiting for you for pick up. The nature walk provides an awesome experience, where you will experience the Majestic Murchison falls forming into an impressive rainbow - as the Nile River narrows from 50 metres to crash through a 7 metre gorge, falling 45 metres to the rocks below is a fantastic viewand breath-taking. Thereafter we shall return to the lodge fordinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala – (5-6hrs)

After a relaxed breakfast you will check-out and we drive straight to Kampala with en route stops for lunch arriving in the afternoon at the accommodation facility. Check-in, dinner and overnight will be at the facility of your choice. Luxury: Speke Resort – Munyonyo / Kampala Serena Hotel / Lake Victoria Serena Hotel – Kigo or Mid-Range Mestil Hotel – Nsambya / Latitude 0° – Makindye Hill or similar

Day 6: Departure / Airport Transfer

Whatever time your outbound flight is, we shall pick you from your hotel and transfer you to the Airport in time for Departure!
