Tour overview

This safari takes you through the beautiful Albertine Rift Valley, with awesome scenery to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable forest, which harbours more than half the population of the World’s remaining Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers a unique birding opportunities, cultural experiences, and scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by elusive primates and pygmies. From Bwindi you will journey through the Savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park enjoying some of the most amazing game viewing, picturesque crater lakes, and you may be rewarded by spotting the elusive tree-climbing lions resting on tree branches at the Ishasha Sector on your drive to Queen. You will then crown your tour with a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel with awesome opportunities to spot water birds, and more wildlife.

Day 01: Arriva

On arrival our representative meets you at Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to Kampala for your dinner and overnight at the accommodation facility of choice (Budget/Luxury)

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Early morning pick up from your hotel or residence and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest (8-9hrs), lunch en route. This route is well endowed with remarkable tourist attractions including the Equator line, savannah plains, the rolling hills and rich cultural backdrop. Check-in, dinner and overnight at Engagi lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking (Full day)

Pick up after an early breakfast and drive to the briefing point; with packed lunch. Gorilla trekking is
the most enchanting experience in the African jungles. It is an enjoyable experience though demanding. Expect to walk a long distance (2-8hrs) in steep and muddy conditions (sturdy hiking shoes are a requirement), sometimes with rain overheads before encountering any Gorilla closely.
Upon the encounter you will spend maximum one hour with the Gorillas family, taking photos and
marvelling at these elusive Apes. After the trekking, you will be picked and returned to your lodge to relax till time for dinner

In the evening as you enjoy a voluptuous meal you will be treated to a cultural extravaganza from the Batwa (pygmies) community. This is an awesome experience as you will see the pygmies (3 feet tall humans) demonstrate their lifestyles (among others living in trees). You will then relax and later retire to your room at your will.

Day 04: Nature Walks & Transfer Queen Elizabeth Nation Park (via Ishasha Sector)

After a relaxed breakfast, you have the option to go on a nature walk to the 33m high waterfalls trails along the Munyaga River. The general scenery is awesome with an excellent opportunity to spot a variety of primates including: Olive baboons, Red-tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Black & White Coloobus monkeys, Bush baby and Chimpanzees. Or simply check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

You will then return to the lodge and checkout then transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via the Ishasha Sector, which is famous for its tree climbing lions. You may be lucky and spot these lions resting on top of the Fig trees, such an inspiring sight. Lunch will be at the Savannah Hotel, there after you will proceed to Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth NP

A warm up cup of tea/coffee then a morning game drive in the Kasenyi area. Expect to see lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, warthogs, leopard, spotted hyena, and a lot of other small animals and teaming birds. After the drive you will return to the hotel to enjoy an elaborate breakfast, then relax and enjoy the hotel facilities till lunch.

In the afternoon slope to the boarding area and take a relaxing boat cruise along Kazinga Channel, a great experience for bird watching, as well as crocodiles, hippos and elephants. Return to the hotel for a relaxing evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Kampala (8-9hrs)

A relaxed breakfast followed by checkout and a drive to Kampala lunch en route, arriving in the late afternoon.
