Kibale Forest NP is home to the World’s highest concentrations of primate species with 13 species recorded including the fancy Chimpanzee, rare Red tailed Monkey, Black and white Colubus Monkeys, Olive baboons, and Barbet monkey among others. This forest offers great chimpanzee trekking and habituation, splendid bird watching, Cultural experience and striking scenic beauty. It is also a well known habitat for the great blue tullaco. Voyager African Safaris takes lead in chimpanzee trekking tours to such gifted ecosystems in East Africa.

Day 01: Arrival

On arrival our representative meets you at Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to Kampala for your dinner and overnight at the Hotel of your choice Budget / luxury

Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest NP

Pick up from your hotel and a drive to Kibale National Park (5-6hrs) with en route stops at interesting sites and lunch in Fort Portal town. Proceed to Kibale Forest NP, check-in and relax at your preferred accommodation facility budget or luxury, where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day in Kibale

You have an option to learn the life style of chimpanzees (the closest relatives to humans) for a full day (a process called habituation), or just trek them for a few hours into the forest. While walking through the forest, the guides will educate you on the various flora and fauna found in the park. The park supports the highest concentration of primates in the world: there are 13 species, including Black-and-White and Red colobus, L'Hoests monkeys, baboons, bush baby and chimpanzees. There are 325 avian species in Kibale, and 144 species of butterflies and moths. It is wise to pack lunch as this might be tedious and long.

Depending on the chosen activity, you will go for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in the afternoon. The sanctuary offers great birding opportunities and nature walks. Besides birding, Bigodi village has a rich cultural heritage site where you can mix with the local people and enjoy the African traditions in terms of lifestyle and entertainment. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Kibale - Kampala

Breakfast and checkout with an option of taking a guided walk to the top of the world where you can
be able to view scenic crater lakes, tea plantations and rolling hills perfect for photography. There after drive back to Kampala, lunch en route.
